Jeff Olivet to lead USICH

The RHA and our CEO Marc Dones are excited about the appointment of Jeff Olivet as the new Executive Director of the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness (USICH), which ensures collaboration across 19 federal agencies, and which is releasing a new strategic plan this year.

Jeff has been a leader in the field for decades, he started his career as a street outreach worker, has served as a family case manager and a supportive housing coordinator, and is deeply familiar with the intricacies of the homeless response system. He has a track record of lifting up the voices of people with lived experience, and is a strong advocate of prioritizing racial equity.

The appointment of Jeff Olivet demonstrates the Biden Administration’s commitment to ensure that people with practical experience are leading the work.
