KCRHA was formed to unify and coordinate funding, policy, and homeless response services across 39 cities and King County. The agency does not have the power to levy taxes, but instead is funded through the regular budget process of King County and the City of Seattle.
KCRHA also coordinates funding in North King County through a coalition of five cities in that sub-region, and is working with other sub-regions to consider similar agreements.
