Hedda McLendon is bringing her expertise to the King County Regional Homelessness Authority. Hedda is on loan from King County, where she serves as the Director of Operations and Emergency Response within the Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS). During this special assignment, Hedda will provide leadership to senior management staff and serve as a key member of the Executive team.
Ms. McLendon (she/her) comes to KCRHA with nearly two decades of experience in program management and strategic development. In 2022, she received King County’s People Leader Award for her work leading operations at two high-volume COVID-19 vaccine sites: King County’s Isolation and Quarantine System Sites and the White Center Cooling Center. She also oversaw the Eviction Prevention and Rent Assistance Program. Before working for the county, Ms. McLendon was the Director of Programs at YouthCare.
Ms. McLendon is an expert and has a proven track record in this sector. She will preside over the Programs, Community Impact, and Ombuds divisions.
