Call for Applications: Board Vacancies at KCRHA

The King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA) is currently seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Implementation Board and Governing Committee. These boards play a critical role in overseeing and shaping our efforts to end homelessness in King County. The Implementation Board is a board comprised of subject matter experts that fulfill a skills matrix set by the Interlocal Agreement. Whereas the Governing Committee is composed of elected officials from various offices in King County. Both boards are vital in the governance of the KCRHA and serve as the governing bodies of the authority. Membership is voluntary service and is a great way to make an impact in our community. 

Available Positions: 

Implementation Board: 

  • Two (2) positions from the Lived Experience Bloc, appointed by the Continuum of Care (CoC) Board.  
  • Two (2) positions are available to be appointed by the King County Council. 

Governing Committee: 

  • One (1) position from the Lived Experience Bloc, appointed by the CoC Board. 
Eligibility 

Individuals interested in applying for the Lived Experience Bloc positions must have lived experience of homelessness. 

For the positions appointed by the King County Council, we are looking for at least one candidate that has a background/expertise in Criminal Justice. The Interlocal Agreement also mentions that the Implementation Board will have to represent the demographics of King County we highly encourage, people who identify themselves as female or non-binary to apply. 

Application Process 

For the Lived Experience Bloc positions: 

  • Please submit a biography and a letter of interest to catherine.todd@kcrha.org by March 21, 2024. 
  • Your letter of interest should explain your interest in the position and how your experience will contribute to KCRHA’s mission. 
  • Once you apply, your information will be provided to the CoC Board for review, and eventual appointment. 

For the positions appointed by King County Council Members: 

  • Please submit a biography, resume, and a letter of interest with subject line “KCC IB Appointments” to austin.christoffersen@kcrha.org by March 31, 2024. 
  • Your letter of interest should explain your interest in the position and how your experience will contribute to KCRHA’s mission, and [if applicable] your criminal justice experience. 
  • Once you apply, your information will be provided to the King County offices for review, and they will contact you about your appointment process.
