How many households is the King County homeless response system serving?
The Household Served dashboards show the number of households experiencing homelessness and receiving services in the homeless response system on the last day of a given month. This helps us understand how many households currently need services, and compare that to our system’s capacity to provide services.
Important Note: King County confirmed its first case of COVID-19 on February 26, 2020; local and statewide orders prohibiting large gatherings to mitigate spread were issued shortly thereafter. Our dashboards show that the overall number of households served in the homeless response system starts to decline in April 2020. Read our Data Review to learn about the primary drivers of this decline and other changes to the homeless response system during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
