The Seattle-King County CoC is the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)-mandated body that oversees and administers HUD funding. Under HUD regulations, the full CoC membership has authority over the continuum’s work and over the CoC Board.
One of HUD’s requirements for the CoC is to hold at least two convenings annually for the full membership. These convenings offer valuable training and networking opportunities. Required training topics include Fair Housing, Equal Access, the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), and Racial Equity, with additional training provided based on the specific needs of the membership.
This meeting will be viewable by the general public, but only CoC members can vote, so registration is required. Any person or organization working to address homelessness in King County can become a member but must register as a CoC member prior to registering to participate in the Convening.
